Sri Lanka have named a 15-member squad for their two-Test series against Pakistan in the ongoing World Test Championship, with Pathum Nissanka included subject to fitness.

Kusal Mendis will lead the side in the series, which begins in Rawalpindi on November 9 before moving to Lahore for the second Test from November 17 to 21.

Nissanka returns to the squad after missing Sri Lanka’s tour of India in August while recovering from a wrist injury. His fitness will be assessed ahead of the opening Test.

Dilshan Madushanka earns a recall to the Test squad, while Eshan Malinga and Anjala Bandara receive call-ups.

Opener Lahiru Udara misses out despite scoring 188 against the West Indies in June, while wicketkeeper-batter Niroshan Dickwella is also excluded.

Sri Lanka are seventh in the World Test Championship standings, with Pakistan ninth.
