Actor Ayeza Khan has sparked a debate on social media after sharing a humorous Instagram Story about ChatGPT, highlighting how the previous generation completed their education without artificial intelligence (AI).
The actor shared a post on her Instagram Story that read: “Dear 90s kids, whenever you feel stupid, just remember we completed our degrees without ChatGPT.” The post quickly caught the attention of social media users.
Ayeza’s relatable post also sparked nostalgia, with many users reminiscing about their own struggles during their student days. Many suggested that every generation has its own unique academic journey and that each experience holds its own value.
The post also drew playful reactions from younger users, who defended the use of AI, arguing that tools like ChatGPT are modern learning assistants that help with research, explanations and productivity rather than replacing education.
“90s kids used libraries. 2020s kids use ChatGPT. Both are tools. The difference is, we don’t waste three hours in the library to find one answer,” one user wrote. Another user took a more philosophical view, commenting: “Hard work isn’t any better than smart work.”
