Premier highlights importance of bilateral cooperation with China in counter-terrorism, broader regional stability

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said that the friendship between Pakistan and China was “time-tested and unbreakable” as the two nations marked the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Speaking at an event marking the anniversary, the prime minister said the people of China stood with Pakistan like a “solid rock”.
While praising Beijing’s unwavering support for Pakistan through thick and thin, PM Shehbaz said that the friendship between the two nations was “second to none”.
The prime minister also highlighted the importance of bilateral cooperation with China in counter-terrorism and broader regional stability.
PM Shehbaz further stated that Pakistan was actively mediating to de-escalate tensions between the United States and Iran in the region, with China backing Islamabad’s efforts.
