A small plane crash in São Paulo on Friday resulted in the deaths of two people and several others being injured. The incident occurred shortly after the aircraft took off from a nearby private airport and crashed into a bus on a busy road in the Barra Funda neighborhood.

Local media captured footage of the scene, showing firefighters surrounding the smoldering wreckage of the plane. A piece of the aircraft struck a bus, injuring a woman inside, while another fragment hit a motorcyclist. Both were rushed to the Vergueiro Emergency Care Unit for treatment.

“The tragic plane crash in São Paulo has claimed the lives of the pilot and co-pilot,” said São Paulo Governor Tarcisio de Freitas in a statement posted on X. He also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and praised the quick actions of firefighters who extinguished the flames, preventing further casualties.

The plane, which was en route to Porto Alegre, crashed in a bustling area near key transport hubs, including a major bus, train, and subway station. The incident has raised concerns over air travel safety, especially in densely populated urban areas.
