Saba Pataudi, the sister of actor Saif Ali Khan, has clapped back at online trolls who questioned the actor’s quick recovery after he was attacked at his Bandra residence.

In January, Saif was attacked by an intruder armed with a knife, suffering multiple stab wounds, including injuries to his neck and spine. Following immediate surgery at Lilavati Hospital, Saif was discharged on January 21, sparking criticism from some on the internet regarding the speed of his recovery.

Responding to these trolls, Saba took to Instagram to defend her brother, urging them to “educate yourselves.” She shared a post featuring cardiologist Dr. Deepak Krishnamurthy, who clarified the reason behind Saif’s rapid recovery.

Dr. Krishnamurthy explained that individuals who undergo serious surgeries, like a cardiac bypass, often resume normal activities, such as climbing stairs, just days after the procedure.

In the post, Saba circled the word ‘educate. ‘ She also urged followers to read the accompanying caption, which stated, “People who’ve had cardiac bypass surgeries climb stairs on the third or fourth day… educate yourselves.”

Pooja Bhatt, in a recent interview, also defended Saif Ali Khan, explaining that the media’s graphic portrayal of the stabbing incident led to unrealistic expectations about his recovery.

Pooja Bhatt reminded critics that Saif had walked into the hospital alone, and someone capable of that resilience should not be doubted when walking out post-treatment.

A new development emerged when it was revealed that the fingerprints of the accused arrested in connection with the attack did not match those found at Saif’s residence. Another suspect from West Bengal was recently apprehended.

Earlier Saif and Kareena were seen stepping out together for the first time since the actor was attacked in his Bandra residence on January 16, 2025.

The couple was accompanied by heavy security after Saif was discharged following surgeries for the multiple injuries he sustained in the violent knife attack.

The couple’s appearance on January 26 showed Saif and Kareena walking out of their home, visibly surrounded by a large security presence. Videos taken by paparazzi captured them entering a car as they left their residence. Saif appeared to be recovering well, though a bandage was visible around his neck where he had been injured.

Meanwhile, Akash Kailash Kanojia, a 31-year-old driver, found his life turned upside down when Mumbai police mistakenly identified him as the attacker involved in an attempted burglary at Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra apartment on January 16.

The confusion began when the Mumbai police issued a tip-off to the Railway Protection Force (RPF), leading to Akash Kanojia’s detention en route to Bilaspur.

On January 17, Akash Kanojia travelled on the Jnaneswar Express to meet his prospective bride but was detained by the RPF at Durg station in Chhattisgarh. The police had alerted the RPF, indicating that Kanojia was involved in the attack on Saif Ali Khan.

After the Mumbai police circulated his photograph, the media widely identified him as the main suspect, further damaging his reputation.
