Noor Xarmina was crowned Miss Universe Pakistan 2024, triumphing over 21 contestants in a competition that concluded last night.
She will represent Pakistan at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November.
Organised by Dubai’s Yugen Group, the Miss Universe Pakistan contest sought to select a representative to showcase Pakistan’s beauty and elegance on an international platform.
Xarmina, a globally experienced contestant, has lived in nine countries and holds degrees in biology and business. She has previously worked as a venture capital investor in London.
She aims to promote Pakistani performers on the international stage, seeking broader recognition for their talents.
Nimra Jacob was named first runner-up in the competition, with Karen Pinto, Anzela Abbasi, Hoor Mahaveera, and Zainab Raza also making it to the finals. The event highlighted the beauty and intellect of Pakistani women, featuring a diverse array of talent.
Last year, Erica Robin, a 24-year-old model from Karachi, made history as the first-ever Miss Universe Pakistan 2023.
She was crowned at the inaugural ceremony held in the Maldives on September 14, 2023. As the winner, Robin represented Pakistan at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant in El Salvador, where she reached the top 20 semifinalists.
Despite facing backlash from conservative groups and government officials who questioned her right to represent Pakistan without official approval, Robin remained determined to showcase the beauty and culture of her country on the global stage.
Her achievement was celebrated by many as a breakthrough moment for the beauty industry in Pakistan.
