More rainfall is expected in Karachi on February 3 and 4 with chances of heavy falls in some areas with thunder, said the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Thursday.
The Met department stated that a new western disturbance is likely to enter Balochistan today (Thursday), with heavy showers expected in the port city in the subsequent days.
The weather system is also expected to bring downpours in the rural districts of Sindh including Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, and Qamber Shahdadkot on February 2 and 3. While, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, and Thatta may receive rain a day later.

Partly cloudy weather is predicted in Karachi today, along with north-easterly winds from Balochistan likely to increase cold in the port city.
In Punjab, PMD said that the rainfed areas will remain under water stress conditions even after downpours next week due to persistent dry and cold weather conditions, advising the citizens to use water judiciously.
The PMD, in its advisory, informed that due to stable weather conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next week. Very cold weather conditions are likely to continue in the plains of Punjab during the next week.
