Karachi experienced a significant drop in temperatures as sea breezes were restored across the city, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Wednesday.
It said that wind speeds in the metropolis reached up to 15 kilometres per hour, bringing cooler air and light rain to various parts of the city including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, North Karachi, and Shahrae Faisal.
The relief from the intense heat wave was welcomed by the residents, transforming the previously sweltering weather into a more pleasant climate.
PMD also forecasts a mix of clear and partly cloudy skies today, with temperatures expected to range between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius.
This morning, the minimum temperature recorded was 30 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 82 percent.
