Sindh’s Energy, Planning, and Development Minister, Nasir Hussain Shah, has clarified rumours regarding the possible replacement of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Speaking to the media at an event in Karachi on Thursday, Hussain dismissed the reports, stating, “The news regarding the change of Chief Minister Sindh is baseless. Murad Ali Shah will remain the Chief Minister of Sindh until 2029.”

Shah further emphasised that the provincial government is taking steps to ensure affordable electricity supply to the people of Sindh, and assured that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has committed to addressing gas load shedding and disruptions.

“We are working to improve the situation in Karachi, and there has been progress. We are striving for further improvements,” Shah added.

He also highlighted the government’s initiative to improve road infrastructure in Karachi, saying, “The chief minister has instructed to enhance the city’s roads, and we are optimistic that a motorway will be built from Karachi to Sukkur, which should be included in the PSDP (Public Sector Development Programme).”
