ISLAMABAD:
The federal government has cautioned the ministries, divisions and provinces against Indian manufactured mobile phones, products and other devices, saying Indian IT products may pose threat to Pakistan’s cyber security.
The Cabinet Division’s letter sent to the federal ministries, divisions and provincial secretaries stated that the Indian IT products may intercept the sensitive information.
The sources said the sensitive data can be accessed through fake websites and Apple like portal. Indian manufacturing products and devices may pose threat to Pakistan’s cyber security through data theft and spread of malware virus.
