Gold prices are on the decline today, both globally and locally, with international markets experiencing another significant drop.

According to reports, the price of gold per ounce in the international bullion market decreased by $24, reaching $2,916. This drop led to a similar reduction in local gold prices, with the price of 24-carat gold per tola (11.66 grams) in local markets falling by Rs 240, bringing it down to Rs 306,300.

Furthermore, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold decreased by Rs 2,058, bringing it to Rs 262,602.

In addition to gold, silver also saw a decrease in its price. The price of one tola of silver dropped by Rs 36, reaching Rs 3,314, while the price of 10 grams of silver fell by Rs 31, bringing it to Rs 2,841.

On Tuesday, a decline was observed as the price per tola fell by Rs800, settling at Rs308,700, while the 10-gram rate decreased by Rs686 to Rs264,660, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

This decline followed gold hitting a record high of Rs309,500 per tola on Monday. Meanwhile, international gold prices also dropped, with the rate declining by $8 per ounce, bringing it to $2,940 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
