Foreign Office spokesperson, Shafqat Khan, condemned the Israeli military’s renewed attacks during the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza.

In a weekly briefing, Khan expressed Pakistan’s strong opposition to the escalation of violence despite the ceasefire agreement.

The FP spokesperson also provided updates on a recent tragic incident in Morocco, where a boat capsized last week. Fortunately, 22 Pakistanis survived the disaster, and their names have been shared by the authorities.

The Foreign Office spokesperson confirmed that the situation is being closely monitored, and Morocco’s authorities have been cooperative in addressing the incident.

Pakistan’s stance on Gaza was reiterated by Khan, who stated that the country welcomes the ceasefire in Gaza.

He expressed Pakistan’s commitment to restoring livability in Gaza, emphasizing that the nation stands against Israeli attacks during the ceasefire period.

In response to a question about Afghan nationals living in Pakistan, Khan clarified that Pakistan will continue to implement its existing policies regarding Afghan refugees.

He stated that there are no current plans to alter the policy towards Afghan nationals residing in the country.
