Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to represent Pakistan at the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) emergency meeting in Jeddah on August 7.
The meeting has been convened to discuss the escalating situation in the Middle East, particularly the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran and the continuous aggression of Israeli forces in Palestine.
During the meeting, Ishaq Dar will express Pakistan’s concerns over the Palestine issue and meet with counterparts from other participating countries.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan has consistently supported the Palestinian cause and will continue to raise its voice at the international level to resolve the issue.
Pakistan is calling for peace in Gaza and demanding the smooth flow of aid to the people of Gaza. Pakistan’s participation in the OIC meeting reaffirms its commitment to finding a peaceful solution to the Middle East crisis.
