An armed clash between two groups occurred in the Defence Housing Authority’s Khayaban-e-Nishat area of Karachi, resulting in several casualties.
According to DIG South Asad Raza, the exchange of gunfire led to the deaths of three individuals, including a middle-aged man named Fahad Bugti. Additionally, five to six people were reported injured, with all sustaining serious injuries.
In response to the incident, Sindh Interior Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar has requested a detailed report from Additional IGP Karachi.
He emphasised that no one is above the law and that all necessary measures will be taken to enforce the rule of law. He assured that legal action would be taken against those involved in the armed clash.
Lanjar reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining peace in the city and stated that no one would be allowed to disrupt efforts to ensure public safety. He highlighted that the protection of citizens’ lives, property, and dignity is a top priority for the police.
