Light rain and drizzle are expected in various parts of Karachi on Thursday, with the weather likely to remain cloudy and humid throughout the day, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.
The residents of Karachi continue to long for heavy rain, despite a slight improvement in temperature due to intermittent light showers that lashed the port city for consecutive days last week.
The Met Office recorded the minimum temperature in the metropolis at 29.5°C, with humidity levels at 82%. Winds were noted to be blowing at a speed of 12 kilometres an hour, according to the PMD.
Weather expert Jawad Memon forecast another spell of monsoon rains for the city on 22nd July.
He indicated that a rain system developing in the Bay of Bengal might affect Sindh between 24th and 28th July. Should this system impact India’s coastal state of Gujarat, Karachi could also receive showers, he added.
