A man killed his younger brother in Gujranwala, following a heated dispute over an inflated electricity bill.
According to media reports, the incident occurred in a house on Prince Road in Gujranwala. The brothers, identified as Murtaza and Umar Farooq, engaged in a violent confrontation over the exorbitant bill.
During the altercation, according to local police, Murtaza used a sharp instrument to cut Umar’s throat, resulting in his death at the scene.
A case has been registered against Murtaza, and police are conducting raids to apprehend the suspect.
In a separate incident in Faisalabad, a similar dispute over an electricity bill led to another fatality.
Ghulam Fareed was stabbed to death by his younger brother, Muhammad Qais, within the limits of the Balochni police station.
Both incidents have highlighted the severe consequences of household disputes over financial issues.
