The Education Department of Sindh has officially declared a holiday in all educational institutions across the province in observance of Shab-e-Barat, scheduled for Monday, February 26.
The decision, ratified by the Steering Committee of the Provincial Education Department, encompasses both private and public schools and colleges, ensuring a uniform observance of the occasion, Express News reported.
The Steering Committee’s resolution to grant the holiday reflects the department’s commitment to acknowledging and respecting religious and cultural celebrations within the diverse communities of Sindh. Shab-e-Barat, also known as the Night of Forgiveness, is a significant event in the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a night of prayers and seeking forgiveness.
