The Commissioner of Karachi has issued a suspension order for 11 vaccinators due to negligence during the ongoing polio vaccination campaign.
The suspended staff, including vaccinators from District Malir and District West, have been directed to report to the Commissioner House.
The notification was issued under the guidance of Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, following the instructions of the Chief Secretary.
The suspended individuals include Zafar Khaskheli, Ali Gul Kalhoro, Sarfraz Kattar, Nooruddin Jakhrani, Mazhar Khan Bajrani, Amanullah, Saleem Raza, Munshi Mumtaz Kalhoro, Abid Shah, Dehni Bakhsh, and Abdul Qadir.
The Commissioner has made it clear that absenteeism or negligence during the polio campaign will not be tolerated. Further stringent actions will be taken in case of continued deficiencies in the polio drive.
Chief Secretary of Sindh, Asif Haider Shah, emphasized the need for district administration, revenue department, local government officials, and town employees to actively assist polio teams in the field.
He warned that strict action will be taken against any government employees found absent from their polio duties.
