Security forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Kacchi District on Sunday, leading to the elimination of 27 terrorists.
The operation was launched after intelligence indicated the presence of militants in the area, the military’s media wing shared on Monday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces swiftly surrounded and engaged the terrorists’ hideouts.
Following an intense exchange of fire, the forces successfully neutralised the terrorists. The operation also resulted in the destruction of several militant hideouts, along with large caches of arms, ammunition, and explosives.
The terrorists eliminated in the operation were responsible for numerous attacks on security forces and civilians, and were on law enforcement’s most-wanted list.
The ISPR emphasised that the militants had been involved in destabilising efforts across the region, contributing to ongoing violence in the area.
The military’s statement reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring peace and stability in Balochistan, underscoring that the security forces will continue to confront any attempts to undermine the region’s progress.
