The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has sent 25 Pakistani students to jail on judicial remand after they were arrested for attempting to use fake visas to settle in the UK.

The FIA presented the students before Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Shehzad Gondal’s court, where their physical remand extension was denied. Instead, the court ordered a 14-day judicial remand for the students.

FIA officials informed the court that the students had tampered with passports in an effort to travel to the UK and settle there.

The students’ lawyers filed applications for post-arrest bail, and the court adjourned the hearing until March 24, when the lawyers will present their arguments.

A case has been registered against the 25 students at the FIA, and the investigation continues.
